A bug has been removed from the Net Scan functions that would report an error if a line signal name did not match the pad signal name.
A bug has been removed from the Zoom functions causing the cursor to not re-center properly.

5.1c - September 15, 2006
Program:
A bug has been removed from the grab functions where a proximity error caused a grab of an incorrect item.

5.1d - October 2, 2006
Program:
The Block Paste from clipboard function will now prompt to enter a increment value for components that are contained within the block.
A Pick Component function has been added to the place menu. This is useful for placing parameterless parts such as hardware and mounting holes.

5.1e - November 1, 2006
Program:
Angles can now be expressed in degrees, radians, grads, and turns.
A bug has been removed from the flood fill functions where not all pads and vias where connected correctly.

5.1f - December 1, 2006
Program:
Text string can now be curved along the circumference of a circle.
Lines, arcs, and pads now have a point of origin to delineate how they were inserted.
Astro imaging camera interface has been enhanced to include the Starlight MX7C camera.
An extra layer of protection has been added to help prevent showing both the pointer and cross-hair cursors at the same time.
A BOM Import function has been added. A BOM can now be created, modified, and read back in applying any changes to the PCB data file.

5.1g - December 6, 2006
Program:
A bug has been removed from text strings with a radius defined that would corrupt data files.

5.1h - January 1, 2007
Program:
A set of warning messages has been added to the Gerber Output function to help prevent incorrectly fabricated PCB's.
Filled Solids have been expanded to include the following drawing styles: Very Sparse Fill, Solid Outline, Dotted Outline, Dashed Outline, Thin Outline and No Outline.
A bug has been removed from the placing of components that contain filled solids.
The autorouter has been enhanced to route schematic files.
The Grab Pad function will now also grab pin numbers if present on a schematic file.
The Edit Image Ortho-Rectification Crop, Rotate, and Resample function now has the option resize by pixels.
The BOM out function will now observe a relative zero point if one is set.
A bug has been removed from the Mirror on X and Mirror Y functions that did not move all text.
The Setup Options dialog box now has an option to mute sounds. When a sound would normally be played, it will instead appear in the clock area.
An internal resource allocator has been added. This will help prevent Windows from crashing when it confuses itself about the status of our drawing engine.
An additional algorithm has been added to the cross-hair / pointer cursor system. This will help prevent confused cursors when CIRCAD looses control under aberrant conditions.
Gerber files can no longer be generated from slave windows. This will prevent accidental cascading of slave windows.

5.1i - January 15, 2007
Program:
A couple of bugs have been removed from drawing engine that would cause display problems.
A bug in the Pick Component function where the not all components were visible has been removed.
A bug has been removed from Net Scan function that would could cause cursor display problems.
A bug has been removed from display of a single layer only (F10 by default) while grabbing items.

5.1j - February 1, 2007
Program:
A bug has been removed from the Place Fill function so that it now processes line size and style.
A bug has been removed from the Place Component function so that it now processes symbol contained in the library.
A new Rats-nest function has been added that bypasses power and ground signals.
The Netlist in and out dialog boxes will now remember the state of the check boxes.
The Edit Snap function will now snap to the vertex points of filled solids.
A bug has been removed from the Edit Text function so that it will now scrutinize the text string.
An option has been added to the Setup Options dialog box to re-center on zoom in and out.
The drawing of the animated block perimeter has been improved.
The keyboard macro system has been enhanced.
Zero width lines in the source data file will plot as 0.002" on Gerber output.
An export filter has been added to save files in Gerber format.
The track endpoints tag in the Setup Draw Modes tab of the Setup Parameters dialog box now applies to signal layers only.
A bug has been removed Flood fill function that did not attach vias properly.
The default component libraries and templates have been included into the program executable. These are only used if none are found on disk.

5.1k - February 15, 2007
Program:
Image masks have been added to the pixel image editor.
A bug has been removed Place Component function for incorrectly formatted text libraries.
A focus bug has been removed from the CTRL-C function is invoked while in the cross-hair cursor mode.
Error messages have been for pads that are unreachable on flood fill.
A crashing bug has been removed while in alternate view.
The error message boxes for gerber generation have been changed to by-passable warnings.
