Format: The format tab defines the the shape, size, and general makeup the data will be printed. Output Data Type Device Independent Bitmap to Printer - Sends the data to the printer driver as a DIB. This yields the greatest quality results, but creates the largest intervening data file. This can cause problems when printing large drawing with a high color depth setting. Post Script data stream to Printer - Sends the data directly to the printer in Post Script format. This requires that the printer itself support Post Script printing. BMP pixel array file to Disk - Sends the printing data to a disk file as a bitmap data file (.bmp). Data Conversion Negative Image (Reverse Video) - Invert the color values, usually used Color Depth 1-bit B/W mode. This is useful when printing to etch block transfer paper for prototype boards. Mirror Image (X Axis) - Convert the left side of the plot to the right side while leaving the top and the bottom in the same orientation. This is useful when printing the bottom side of the board. Use screen background color - Adds the CIRCAD "desktop" to the printing data. This is useful when creating drawings and documentation. Output Formatting Portrait/Landscape - Specifies the orientation of the drawing to be sent to the printer driver. Print to Scale - Maintain a 1:1 mapping between the scale of the data files to the data sent to the printer driver. Scale to X Scale to Y Scale to page - Stretch the scale of the data file for match the size given by the printer driver. Color Depth |
